After an impact, the SRS unit may store crash data and keep the airbag warning light on. However, the stored code is not always the only issue that must be resolved.
Deployed airbags, pretensioners, impact sensors, under-seat connectors and wiring must also be checked. A resistor fitted to hide a fault does not restore system safety.
When the unit is repairable, we recover its data, erase collision information and restore configuration. We then perform a complete scan and verify that the system passes its self-test.
The goal is not merely to switch off a light, but to restore the system and confirm that all components are connected correctly.
